Last night for family night we took the kids and went to play in the river! It was so fun! There is a kayak course on the weber river (in Riverdale) so we took our tubes and headed down. The Thomas', Suzie and her boys, and my mom and dad joined us. We had a great time. The water was a little cold when you first got in but after days and days of unbearably hot temps it actually felt good!
We floated down the river last year (in July) but it was low and we kept hitting rocks (Jeremy had such an awful time that half way through he decided to get out and walk to the car--he waited for us for a couple of hours!) so we decided to just go to the tongue and play there. But this year the water is a lot higher (I still managed to smacked by bum on a rock--it still hurts today!)
The girls had a great time. Wynnie was a little reluctant to go down but once she did she couldn't stop smiling and laughing! I think Sophie may be part fish. She LOVES the water. She started shivering (I think her lips were even a little blue) so I took her out of the water and she just cried because she wanted to get back in.
